The Coldest Night 2024


Maxx Charge is proud to support The Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY), an annual Canadian wide fundraiser with 100% of proceeds staying local!  On February 24th 2024, hundreds of locals in Georgetown, Acton and surrounding communities, will step outside the warmth and comfort of their homes to brave the cold and show compassion for people in need.  In Halton Hills, The CNOY proceeds go towards the Georgetown Bread Basket and Links 2 Care, two local organizations with programs that support those experiencing food insecurity or homelessness.  Last year’s event raised more than $68,000 in Halton Hills alone and since 2011 The CNOY has raised more than $96,000,000 across Canada!

13th Annual Mary McDuffe Memorial Bospiel for Community Living North Halton

The 13th Annual Mary McDuffe Memorial Bonspiel is just around the corner! Over the past 12 years the bonspiel has helped raise over $165,000.00 for the Recreation and Leisure Programs provided by Community Living North Halton.  Hosted at the Milton Curling Club on Saturday February 3rd, we strongly encourage you to head over and support the amazing folks at Community Living North Halton as you enjoy a day of curling excitement, delicious meals, and a silent auction that is LIVE NOW!

2024 OPCA Annual Golf Tournament 



The OPCA annual golf tournament kicks things into high gear. Who wouldn’t want to experience one of the best golf courses Ontario has to offer, Eagles Nest Golf Club. This is a completely private event as the OPCA has reserved the entire course for the day.  Come out and enjoy a day of golf with friends, family and coworkers.  Sponsorships and foursomes are available online now. Included in your foursome of golf: lunch, driving range, drinks/cocktails (on and off course), cocktail reception, world class dinner, and prizes. Golf management, marketing, sponsorships and web design by Maxx Charge.

The R&A and USGA Announce 2024 World Handicap System Revisions



Did you know that the latest revisions to the World Handicap System took effect on January 17th, 2024? Here is a brief synopsis of what is changing:
– Inclusion of Shorter-Length Golf Courses Within the Course Rating System
– Use of an Expected Score for a Hole Not Played
– Playing Conditions Calculation Adjustments Made More Frequent 
– Enhanced Guidance on Conducting a Handicap Review
